League of Women Voters Event Announced

The New Britain Area League of Women Voters is presenting a program on the “Role of the Federal Government in Public Education”.  The program will be held on Monday, November 28th, 7 PM at Trinity on Main, 69 Main St. in New Britain.  Access to the event will be from the rear entrance of the building and will be held in the Catherine Stockman room on the 2nd floor.  The event is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.

The presentation is a culmination of a study done by the New Britain Area League of Women Voters together with the Greater Hartford League and focuses on questions that examine the extent that the Federal Government should be involved in public education.  The public is invited to come and add to the discussion, however, only league members can be involved in the consensus vote on the questions.
